Dear Sam,

	Many thanks for your letter and the clipping.

	My mother told me that all her relatives in Lithuania were
killed by the Nazis.  Is that so?  Did any of them escape?  Also I
would be grateful for some information about her ancestors if you
have it.

	Going forward in time, I should tell you that my second
wife, Vera Watson, died while climbing Mount Annapurna in Nepal
in 1978.  In 1983 I married Carolyn Talcott and we have a son,
Timothy Talcott McCarthy, who will be one year old November 9.
